Course Debugger for Storyline is a Chrome side panel for e-learning developers. It shows the variables and current slide of an Articulate Storyline course while the course runs, and lets you change them so you can test how the course behaves. It works with courses in Articulate Review 360, in a learning management system (LMS), or opened from your own computer.
To do its job, the extension reads information from the course open in your current tab, but only on websites you have given it access to, and only while its side panel is open. This includes:
This information is displayed in the side panel on your screen. It is not recorded, collected or sent anywhere.
The extension uses Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember a few things between sessions. This storage is on your computer, is not synced to other devices by the extension, and is never sent to us:
The change log is kept only in the open side panel's memory and is cleared when you close the panel. It leaves your computer only if you copy it or save it to a file yourself. Exported snapshot files are likewise created only when you choose to export them.
You can delete snapshots in the panel at any time. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it has stored.

The extension is a professional tool for course developers and is not directed at children.
If the extension's handling of information changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect in a published version of the extension.
